Washing your face more to keep it cleaner? You may be doing the opposite

Clean skin doesn’t mean washing it every time it feels oily or congested.

Quite the reverse: over-washing, especially with a harsh cleanser or by scrubbing, can cause dryness and irritation and weaken your skin barrier, the layer that protects your skin.

That doesn’t mean oily skin needs less cleansing. It needs the right cleansing, without treating oil as something to strip away entirely. The aim is to cleanse without disturbing its natural balance.

So rather than asking “How many times should I wash my face?”, the better question is: “Which cleansing method suits my skin type?”

A chemical peel isn’t right for every skin. So what decides?

A chemical peel is more than an extra step in your routine, and not every type suits every skin. Choosing the right peel depends on:

  • The concern we are treating
  • Your skin type and how sensitive it is
  • The type of peel and its strength
  • The result we are aiming for

That’s why the peel that worked for your friend isn’t necessarily the right choice for you. A proper assessment determines whether it suits your case, and which type and protocol are best.

Woken up with a puffy face?

Lack of sleep may be the cause, but it isn’t always the only one. Morning puffiness can be linked to fluid retention, salty food, allergies, changes in your sleep schedule or other factors that differ from one case to the next.

If the puffiness keeps returning or becomes noticeable, it’s best not to guess the cause yourself. What matters is knowing whether it is a passing change, or whether there is a cause that needs assessment or treatment.

Treating any concern well begins with understanding its cause, not simply addressing the symptom.

Feel your hairline has started to recede?

A receding hairline can be one of the first signs of hair loss, and the earlier the cause is found, the better the chances of addressing it properly.

At the Cléo Hair Clinic, we focus on diagnosing the condition of your hair and setting the right plan for you, so you can preserve its density and healthy appearance.

Start caring for your hair today, and don’t wait for the problem to grow.

Finished your meal, yet it still feels like something sweet is missing?

Craving sweets after a meal doesn’t automatically mean your body needs sugar, nor does it mean you lack willpower.

Sometimes it is a repeated habit: a meal, then something sweet, then the sense that the meal is over. At other times there are other factors, such as a meal that isn’t balanced or filling enough, or eating too quickly to give your body time to notice it is full.

So instead of telling yourself “I just can’t resist sweets”, try first to understand what drives the craving for you.

Weight loss isn’t about numbers on the scale

Real weight loss is, at heart, a complete lifestyle we build to protect our health for the long term.

Many of us fall for common diet myths and mistakes we believe are helping, such as starving ourselves or cutting out fruit at certain times of day. The right approach is to understand our bodies and maintain our metabolism in a healthy, sustainable way.

Excess weight is not only about appearance; it is about health and a peace of mind that slips away gradually. Look after yourself, and take the right first step towards change with specialists beside you every step of the way.

Beautiful results deserve to last

A few simple habits, together with your doctor’s instructions, can make a real difference to how long your results last.

  • Keep to the routine prescribed for you, even once your skin has improved.
  • Wear sunscreen every day, not only in summer.
  • Book your follow-up on time, so we can check on your results and adjust if needed.
